“I grew up in New Brighton and now I live in Hereford Street. I live and work in the central city. One thing about Christchurch is that you can skate anywhere. Everything’s accessible. I’m a chef so I get to skate around most days.
There is the Washington skate park but it’s pretty small these days for me. I prefer to skate around the city – I love the city.
Down feeding the eels at the terraces is quite lovely, skating around is quite a nice pastime for me. If it’s a nice day fishing at New Brighton is enjoyable for me and also the port hills as it has easy access to tracks and hiking. I am often here during the day as I work most nights.
I really love this library [Turanga] and I think it is a great asset to the city.”
